The Brent 2020 Volunteering Programme is up and running! Our Community Engagement Manager and Volunteer Coordinator have been working with a range of exciting partners to deliver training workshops across the borough.

Attendees at a Willesden Green Library session in July received an interviewing masterclass led by the BBC's John Offord and Mykaell Riley from the University of Westminster.

The inspiring duo shared their expert knowledge with our wonderful Storyfinder volunteers, who will apply their new skills to the creation of a digital library of oral histories as part of our tentpole reggae project, No Bass Like Home.

At The Granville in South Kilburn, the Trailblazer volunteers have been brainstorming trips and further training opportunities, exploring how to overcome barriers to voluntary roles as well as drafting content for a volunteer handbook.

More volunteering positions will be announced soon ahead of the second application window opening in autumn 2019.
