Earlier this year, 18 year old Foos' uncle had to wait months for an operation, and ended up passing away. Foos believes he could have survived if he'd received surgery earlier, but she doesn't blame his doctors for his death. She thinks something must have gone seriously wrong with the NHS for it to be so underfunded that it let her uncle die. So Foos is going back to basics. In this documentary, Foos talks to medical professionals, activists and journalists to learn about the history of the NHS, and contemplate its future. Foos interviews Ash Sakar, Sylvester Marshall, & Laura Beers about the history of the NHS, Austerity, The Hostile Environment and the difference between NHS and USA healthcare.
