CULTURE CAPITAL COMPETITION - DO YOU WANT TO PERFORM AT WEMBLEY?
Are you a music artist aged 16-30 creating original R&B, hip hop, grime, afrobeats, reggae, pop, neo soul or urban music?
Are you ready to perform at The SSE Arena, Wembley in front of more than 10,000 people?
Would you like free mentoring from Metropolis Music?
Do you live, study or have a strong connection to Brent?
Do you have a video of yourself or your group performing live?
If you can answer yes to all the above, then you NEED to enter our competition to win a slot opening the Culture Capital concert on Saturday 5 September at The SSE Arena, Wembley. Competition closes Mon 16 March, 23:59, so be quick!
ABOUT THE CULTURE CAPITAL COMPETITION
Entry to the competition is via online application. You’ll be asked to provide information about yourself and your music and links to two videos of yourself/ your group performing live.
Entries must be received by Mon 16 March, 23:59 and must meet the above criteria.
Once the entries are in, a panel of music industry professionals from Metropolis and BBC 1 Extra and local young people from the Blueprint Collective will read the applications, view the accompanying videos and select a shortlist of the five best acts.
The five shortlisted acts will be announced by Mon 23 March, and will be invited to compete against eachother in a live competition at BOXPARK Wembley on the evening of Wed 22 April. At the end of the night, a panel of judges and the audience will vote on the winning act from the five. The winner - who will go on to perform at The SSE Arena, Wembley and receive free mentoring from Metropolis Music - will be announced that night.
